Pearmund Cellars Featured at Local Old Town Manassas Bistro

  

City Square Cafe of Old Town Manassas is featuring their Annual Autumn Wine Dinner on Thurs., Oct. 27 at 7 p.m., offering a four-course Virginia Harvest wine dinner with wines from Pearmund Cellars in Virginia. Dinner is $69 per person, not including tax and gratuity. For reservations, call 703.369.6022.

 The menu includes: autumn squash pot pie, butternut, acorn and sweet potato squash cooked in a pumpkin gravy, and topped with puff pastry paired with Viogner , 2010; buttermilk fried quail, golden fried quail with ginger-sweet potato mash served with Cabernet Franc, 2009 Chile; blackberry tenderloin medallions of roast tenderloin with a chili and blackberry glace with Meritage, 2007 (Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet  Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Merlot); and pumpkin cake roll paired with Le Grange Snort, 2009 (Tinta Cao, Tannat, Touriga National.)

Live entertainment is offered on scheduled evenings, highlighting local jazz singers on their outdoor patio.

City Square Café provides tapas and homemade American bistro favorites with an international flair, seven days a week.

Hours of operation include: Mon. through Thurs., 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (lunch and dinner,) Fri., 11 a.m.to 10 p.m. (lunch and dinner), Sat., 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. (breakfast, lunch, dinner), and Sun., 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. (breakfast and lunch).

Established in 1996, City Square Café in Old Town Manassas, Va. was founded and is owned by Robert and Susana Barolin, immigrants from Uruguay whose cuisine is based on their Italian roots. City Square Café features homemade American bistro favorites with an international flair, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner and tapas seasonal menus in a quaint, warm environment with home-like comfort and serving creative, sophisticated food.
