No Name Change for Shadowood Pool

From the Reston Association:

The Board of Directors of the Reston Association turned down a request by a group of residents to change the name of Shadowood Pool and Tennis Courts to South Lakes Area Pool. The vote came in response to a petition filed by some two dozen residents of the Dhawowood Condominium, Springwood Condominium and Colonial Greene Clusters.  They said the Shadowood name, which is nearly the same as Shadowood Condominiums created confusion. According to estimates presented to the Board, the cost of changing the name included  $5,000 to poll neighboring residents, and $1,700 to change the signage.
