Reston Association Election Results

From the Reston Association:

RESTON, Va. – After months of campaigning, one incumbent was re-elected, a new at-large director will take a seat at the Board and there will be a re-election for the apartment owners’ representative.

Ellen Graves, Reston Association Elections Committee chair said there were not enough votes cast to meet 10 percent required quorum in the apartment owners’ election.  So, ballots go out to the owners on Friday, April 15 and must be returned to the counting agent’s office by May 2, 2011.  Amanda Andere was running to replace Tim McMahon, who has held the seat since 2005, but had announced he was stepping down.  He will remain the Apartment Owners’ representative until the results of the second election are announced on May 7.
