Reston Stream Restoration Exhibit and Walk

This weekend Reston residents and other interested parties will be given a unique opportunity: a chance to tour the timely exhibit on stream restoration with Kelly Petrey of Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. Attendees will learn updates on the state of Reston streams and the large renovation program that is now underway to restore these natural resources.

The stream restoration exhibit and walk will be this Saturday, August 7th, at 12 p.m. Guests are invited to the Reston Museum at 1639 Washington Plaza in the Lake Anne Village Historic District at noon to learn about the project and the benefits of stream restoration. Then at 1 p.m. you can join Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. on a field trip to a stream in the Colvin Run watershed of North Reston. Come and see firsthand what is going on with the stream restoration in your community.
